In 1973, James Westwater created and then pioneered the art form of photochoreography. He is retired from having performed his concert pieces with nearly 200 symphony and chamber orchestras. This web site offers a look at Dr. Westwater’s 40+ year career and includes a list of his orchestral engagements in the US, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Asia. This site also contains reviews of his concerts, his repertoire of concert pieces and a link to his web site, Westwater.us. The latter contains web-galleries featuring approximately 150 of his photographic images. His photography is available for purchase and publication. Dr. Westwater is now focused mainly on sharing the resplendent natural beauty of the Southwest through his photography. He is also dedicated to addressing some of the most serious problems facing humanity and the planet, including the climate crisis, environmental degradation, poverty and our inhumanity to each other.
